New data may help physicians better understand risk of lung cancer

Cancer is a leading cause of death worldwide, second only to cardiovascular disease. Lung cancer, the most common form, causes more deaths than breast, prostate and colorectal cancers combined. Now researchers have developed a new scoring system for a common lung cancer diagnostic test that may help physicians better understand the risk for malignancy when evaluating patients.
