Tons of products and home treatments claim to reduce the friction that causes the sores, but there isn't much science to back them up. So what’s the best way to beat blisters? Tape, specifically the kind you find in a first-aid kit. A recent study in The Clinical Journal of Sport Medicine concluded that simple paper tape reduced the incidence of blisters by at least 40 percent in ultramarathon runners. If it works for them, you can bet it'll work for you.
