We didn't need a study to prove exercising makes us crave dessert—or really, food in general. After hitting the gym, we are hungry. And that makes sense: We just burned through a bunch of energy and our body wants to replenish it by eating everything in sight.
There is a way to avoid going ham and raiding the fridge: A study from last year found people who enjoyed working out were less likely than those who saw exercise as punishment to overeat afterward. So it's all about your attitude when you head to the gym.
