We all get anxious from time to time. Think about the sweaty palms and heart-beating-out-of-your-chest feeling you get before a job interview or speaking in front of a crowd. Living with anxiety is something much more serious. Anxiety disorders affect more than 40 million American adults, making it the most common mental illness in the U.S. It's hard to explain what anxiety really "feels" like, but these awesome illustrations from The Tab do an eerily good job:
