The only things getting a workout when you play most video games are your thumbs, but Pokémon Go forces users to get off the couch and head up the street (or across town if they're really obsessed) to catch 'em all. If you're unfamiliar, here's how it works: The app shows the Pokémon nearby on a map. Once you arrive at the location, the character appears on your screen, looking like it's just chilling on the sidewalk next to you. (We're not kidding, check out the photo below.) Then you throw a Poké Ball in its direction to catch it.
People are clearly nostalgic for Ash and Pikachu—Pokémon Go has already been downloaded more times than Tinder on Android phones—and they've been tweeting how the app is making them healthier:
